and I sigh
deep in thought
thinking about lifes wicked game
and feeling abandoned
crossed up by what I wanting what I dont need
never knowing why and never understanding
living on the edge of tragic
silently I scream

I can still remember the day
when I became and inmate
in the prison I created
there were no bars and walls
but I was stuck and feeling frantic,
instead of using logic
I was searching for the magic
being caught in between two worlds
had me soul coughing
lost in a loop of haze and manic.

then what happens next
is some things I hear
just dont make sense
and
some things I see
I could never believe it would be like this
its just weird
l the way they way they smile
when I am in distress.

out of the blue into the wild
houses of the holy
sparkle in the twilight
the spoken word from the book
lights a spark in the dark
and
I see the landscape is full of trolls.... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 76 [topic] => 43 [informant] => unknown_utopia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Your poem takes us from despair to hope and back, at once tantalizing us and then plunging us into the void that is the writers reality.
Though dancing on the edge, this never lowers us into utter hopelessness, instead leaving the reader with a splash of optimism that your erstwhile hero may yet be redeemed.
