Classic jazz floating above the room
Book in bag and order in mind
I’m prepared to enjoy a Thursday afternoon

Order is placed and I wait at my favorite table
Already engaged in my new summer read
I leave that new world for a moment
To retrieve my latte
The one I’ve been waiting for all morning

Difficult as it may be
I push all future tasks away
Know that all will get done in due time
To enjoy this gift of a day is my prerogative
Before the sun dictates its ending

So, mind, slow down, take rest
For personal time is a priority
Enjoy the world around you
While you’re still on it

Do unto others but
Remember to do unto yourself
For you will need to refill your cup
Before you pour out blessings on others [comments] => 2 [counter] => 89 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Deidra_Carmichael [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

So descriptive I found myself wanting coffee!
Your point is summed up clearly; we can/'/t be here for others if we are burned out.
Take care of yourself! Enjoy your own blessings!

Can/'/t fault you on this
Everyone needs a timeout mechanism,a quiet time to lay down all thoughts and stresses of life and relax into a more harmonious vein.
I hope you recharged and the world is good again!!!

Steve
