[bodytext] => I/'/m in the hospital because of what happened on the 4th of July.
I was very irresponsible with fireworks and I/'/m lucky I didn/'/t die.
When I lit a bottlerocket, it flew up my nose.
But that wasn/'/t as bad as losing all of my fingers and toes.
I held five M-80s in each hand and put five on both of my feet.
When they exploded, I thought God was somebody who I/'/d meet.
I didn/'/t argue when my best friend decided to rush me to the ER.
He/'/s threatening to sue because my blood ruined the interior of his car.
When I got to the hospital, the doctors and nurses laughed.
They said they couldn/'/t believe that a man could be so daft.
Now I/'/m lying in a hospital bed and I have no toes, fingers or thumbs.
If you ever use fireworks, don/'/t do what I did because it was very dumb. lost in a circus of igniting a fire
they played paranoid android,
no, wait i did from Freel Peak
the highest place where you could see
lake Tahoe.

It was sung by this girl named Sia,

it/'/s a good track,
what/'/s that
What/'/s that

When I am king you
will be the first against the wall,

or so the lyrics go...

What/'/s that...

with your opinion which is of
no consequence at all

what/'/s that
what/'/s that

the sound of the firework
reached my ears
well after the dim color
I never saw the smoke

the stars shown in the sky were so bright
from the grade high

I was sickly as a youth in a hospital bed
looking down upon the square,

in the winter time, wishing to be out
there somehow

Peace!

The NFPA would love your poem! This is such an important message, that it can/'/t be said in enough ways to enough people. WE can/'/t grow new fingers and toes, nor can we retract the message we send our children when we play with fireworks.
I am fortunate to live in CA, where fireworks are banned because of forest fires. Many are not so lucky.
