Our ladders to the sky
Colorful memorials for those
Who have died
Shooting stars
Farther than the planet of mars
Bring forth new life
As they rain on down
Clouds in the sky
Provide such a pillowy ride
Heaven and earth
Is all we know
Until it*s time for us to glow
Wouldn*t you know

I lost my father nine months ago from a heart condition at the age of 62 and reading this made me smile, thinking of my dad climbing rainbows. The symbolism was beautiful!

Great write.

A happy poem envisioning our fantasies of life in the clouds. I like the asterisk for your contractions!
Very clever of you.
My favorite line is HEAVEN AND EARTH IS ALL WE KNOW. You*ve summarized your story and it is a fitting conclusion!

// I don`t know if I`m reading into this because of my own beliefs (maybe suspicions) but this sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo reminds of the possibility of reincarnation.

So, yeah, there`s that and the wow thing for me.

Thank you, Sir TimmyJimmy
