When we would prove our ignorance by opening our mouth.

Im certain you can add your own;
Heres some to get us started.
By the time you read this;
I shall have long departed!

Fresh breadcrumbs and jumbo shrimp;
Simply don’t exist.
And what’s the point of ceasing;
If you also must desist?

Idioms they say will pay a penny for your thoughts;
The method to their madness is they say what we cannot!

Whether you beat bushes, or bark up the wrong tree;
All great minds think alike says I eventually!

They call you off your rocker, to watch you buy the farm;
So hold your horses, haste makes waste, the third time is a charm!

With pedal to the metal; like falling of a log;
With any luck, you’ll pass the buck, and live high off the hog!

To add fuel to fire; its all catch as catch can;
Just one drop in the bucket; has known to flash the pan!

Close but no cigar my friend; start scratching where it itches;
A stitch in time to wine and dine; may turn your rags to riches.

Sleeping at the wheel is not a blessing in disguise;
While sawing off a log or two, the rest may drop like flies!

Clearly I have bitten off much more that I can chew;
Exit stage left, time to go...throw in my towel, will you? I have used them all but it would be hard for me to recite them. I guess you shouldn/'/t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Awesome as your usual self :)

Damn! pipped at the post on an idea that has been brewing for yonks. What/'/s a meta for, you may ask? herein is the answer - chunks of thought in a few well-placed words.

Oh well, a stitch in time saves nine and he who hesitates is lost. I tilt my hat at your offspring young lady, and move onto the next page of a poet/'/s catalogue.
