across the world we get to see
holes opening spontaneously;
caverns the size of Texas,
yawning wide to try and vex us.

from Siberia to Japan,
swallowing houses, gardens, vans.
some see them as the gates to Hell;
others think they’re kinda swell!

in America they sell tickets,
in Japan they fill ‘em in;
in Russia they drink and gawk
while Tibetans, they just grin…

the reality is here to see,
with a message clear for you and me.

the earth isn’t solid at all
—its one giant Wiffle Ball!

Clever, witty, and well researched! The last lines left me laughing in agreement! Really enjoyed this. Thank you for your quirky sense of humor!

light and airy
in the cosmos
where you could
knock a wiffel ball
right out the park
with a plastic bat
you wouldn/'/t use
a wooden one nor
an aluminum
one because
even if you did
the bat speed wouldn/'/t
register and even if it
did the distance would
never register

the way a plastic bat
would

I played baseball
I know
It is kind of weird

and at the sametime
quite amazing
all the same

relativity
living things floating
landing someplace
else

Monty Python
a swallow
eating some tiny
creature and then
ending up thousands
of miles away

that living thing
bird poop mixed
with bird urine

mixed with who knows

Peace!
