[hometext] => Join me in a trip through history...The Phantom
[bodytext] => The hour of glory is upon us, kicking men in the chest... call me Leonidas
Treat the world like the Persian army, take 300 men and decimate a country
Let the Gods decide our fate, blood thirsty and posted at the Hot Gates
Outnumbered 10-1, the thrust of spears as my enemys arrows black out the sun
A king and his loyal captain lead an army of battle tested savages
The hour of eternity comes to call, the year 493 the greatest empire will finally fall
The Roman Empire was the first of its kind, her rise to power was ahead of her time
They crucified Jesus and continued to thrive, over a 1000 years until the last emperor died
Started with Augustus and ended with Constantine XI, the power they had made others jealous
Treachery and murder, every emperor made the hit list, do you remember me... my name is Brutus
The hour of revelation, the king and queen of England acknowledge the birth of a new nation
1776, The United States of America and her Declaration of Independence
Leading the Continent Army, victory is destine...my name is George Washington
No taxation without representation, taking it too the red coats without hesitation
Freedom, the ultimate treasure, the Star Spangled Banner, written in the blood of our ancestors
The hour of promise, a nation divided on slavery and the question of solace
The Emancipation Proclamation ended slavery but separated a nation
Remember the 54th Massachusetts infantry Regiment, 600 African American troops fought to their death
Brother versus brother over a million dead, Abraham Lincoln takes one in the head
The fall of Appomattox, Robert E. Lee surrenders with no chance to recant, call me...Ulysses S. Grant
The hour of devastation, the emergence of the Worlds most powerful nation
December 1941 an army of zeros blindside Hawaii killing 3000 American sons
The battle of the pacific ensued, operation Vengeance, the target...Admiral Isoroku
With the target eliminated the Japanese were upset, when asked to surrender they ignored the request
Hiroshima, Nagasaki, over 226,000 dead humans, call me...Harry S. Truman.
Forever Faithful

Much research went into this piece to write with such accuracy. The continuous theme is the warlike nature of man. The more civilization advances, the faster we are able to self destruct.
Ironic isn/'/t it, that our power on the world stage is measured by our ability to destroy one another.
