The Window

Contributed by Durango on Wednesday, 4th April 2018 @ 09:36:21 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

I am the window, I see you,

I see your every mood for free;

I see all the things you do,

And sometimes I see you look at me.

My eyes feel the orbs

Of your varied emotions,

Like the sand absorbs

The undulating oceans.

I can see you when you wake

And saunter to the bathroom,

I can see the steam from the shower you take

And the crowded counter of cosmetics and perfume.

I am the window, I see your night gown,

Tossed upon the bed tangled and twisted;

I see the towel around your hair, it’s brown

And the jasmine lotion with the lid flipped and lifted.

I can see your tongue wet your lips, before you yawn,

I can see the clothes you fold and put away

And the ones you just put on

To start your day.

The shade can be shut

To impede the view,

But when the shade is up

I am the window, I can see you.

HAUNTING. Your perspective elevates voyerism to a sacrament.
Softly romantic, dancing around the edges of tastefulness and a bit of excitement on the observer/'/s part.
Ladies -- close your shades.
Gentlemen - start your engines.

Crazy good. This reminds me why you should scan a hotel room for cameras. You never know although this is a bit different. Rockwell would have loved this :)

creepy,

double spaced

And all

this imagining

this canopy or habitable zone

just now, or at any given time

yet, higher up, the emmergent

sits, this viewpoint, looking down

removed, yet still attached

into the forest it came, out of the forest it went,

when it falls it falls, the earth shakes

filled with sinewy vine, far removed

still closer than plane from above

the fog, the fog and the cloud the cloud not

yet the cloud that could by wind travel

farther still, dropping rain

to rot is natural, one can sit and think

before they might

write about windows that

see inward

I suppose.

I love your stuff Durango, it/'/s truly quite clever.
you are a poet.

Peace!
