They’re coming for us you know;
To steal away our souls.

As shadows on your wall;
When nothings there at all!
In nightmares that awake you;
Before doom overtakes you!

Death runs just behind us;
She searches till she finds us;

To catch the ones who can’t keep pace;
The stragglers in this human race;

With silent words of sympathy;
Shell pour her darkness over me.

Make note of distant newborns cry;
And rise as you go running by.

Dog-gonnit Jaye you got me scared!
3/31/15 I wrote on here, "They Are Coming For Me" and five days later they did.... And they almost kept me. Be careful of what you write no matter how great it is. Yikes!

Delightfully chilling! The couplet pattern flowed like a stairway up. Keep creating, keep writing and I/'/ll keep reading.
