No cure for loneliness is owned;
A ransom for an empty heart;
To capture what will soon depart.

Had we Kings horses, and had we Kings men;
We could not keep love from leaving again.
She gifts us no warning we’ve made a mistake;
But leaves us alone in the darkness awake;

Pierced by the echos of bittersweet laughter;
Amused we’d believe she’d remain ever after.

Only the lucky avoid this. Age is the equalizer.
It can be devastating for the young but as you know
when you get older you just sigh and say next. Well, a survivor will do this.

Sometimes we are more enamored by the time and place, and a stage in our life than the actual person but many are unable or unwilling to decipher that fact.

Beautifully written poem!!!

I wouldn/'/t say only the lucky escapee this or should I.

Maybe, because I believe you create your own luck with a pure heart and determination alike.

The purest of Hearts would let go because it/'/s wisdom will know that if love turns from you it was not love to begin with.

Non the less an awesome peace you have written for us. Something that will require much pondering for some, and for others I/'/m sure a light will go on.

Greetings
Rus
