Silence drowning in echoes
down the halls of isolation
murdering the ease of moving forward

Misfortune can be easily made
(and just as easily forgiven)
save for the acetone air in which you breathe-
that frightening alienation of the soul
where serpents tug at imaginary defences
hoping to feign enough fear
and undo revolutionary advance

panic attacks the weary
and stations itself inside the skin
along the edge of change

lost hope it seems
of love and dreams
leaves nothing but empty words
never allowed to breathe

never, because they are inducted
into the amber hall of forgotten pain;
she so beautifully wraps them in silk
and with smiling face, disarms their power
her caress is like that of satin
and soon all is just a faint gleam in night time sky

where the stars inside Orion dance
and though darkly veiled, the moon enchants

I read somewhere about the moon slowing moving away from us, as the Universe continues to expand.
Then I thought maybe future generations won/'/t see its dazzling magnificence and that would be sad.
Nice write, soothing as the light of the moon itself.

I have so missed this. So happy to see a Breezy poem even though much of it seems so sad.

So refreshingly brilliant.

Thank you.

Timmy

Oh my dear Roxie- fellow Scorpy and femme fatale- with a heart full of love deeper than any well... How Ive missed you so. If you could have seen my face light up when I ventured to your old faithful account page. The old avy, old quotes and new quotes, and, annnnd a new poem!

This write is incredibly poignant, and I just love the way you tie the moon in with feelings. Your poetry has always been the brass ring, lady ... I have always been in awe of the way you word emotion. Thank you for sharing your gift.

*Big hugs* squuuuueeeeeze

Well I can see that I have a lot of catching up to do and I am glad I made a stop here.
Ahh the moon, so disarming. Like a balm to ease away the pain in our lives. You always have had such a way with words. It`s so nice to read them again.
