even in the quietest moments
I feel pain when I am not hurting
could it be my mental is so twisted and so deep
that I will never find the forest of equilibrium again

Humanities wreckage is scattered all over
the reason for the malfunction is unclear
fractured universal emotional temporal loops are sighing
a tender situation is in suspended animation
waiting for anyone who cares

Can not recall where we fell off
or remember how we lost our way
dreams in inertia
driving me insane
as I mourn the 58 who passed away in pain

I wonder how the world became so disconnected
was the hate here all along
it seems that common sense was just a Illusion
unresolved secrets of the mind
and
the stench of this burning confusion
keep awake all night long

The cruel lie that is life makes it hard to maintain
I resist the indulgence of the medicate call
although sometimes I fall back into it
I may be crippled but I can still crawl

Painful, but strong. The level is not where I am in my present mindstate, but with a little effort and time(I/'/m on my break at work :( )I may understand fully. However given what I have, and what I/'/ve taken in, I can say part of grief unexpressed will bring forth this sort of state of emotional being, at least it has for me. But when you release it assertively, you/'/ll feel far better- so long as it isn/'/t done in an inconsiderate fashion. If this is how you frlt and frel now, then good luck, and stay away from drugs, if that was the reference, because excuses are too powerful on our will when we are in a moment of weakness =/

HUMANITIES WRECKAGE -- what a statement.
Your pain and disillusion are universal.
We expect the world to make sense and be greater than we ourselves are...but since we ARE the world..that is not a logical expectation.

Forgive us, we are only human, sometimes far less.
Your strength is in your clarity, unmuddied by cocktails to numb the senses.
Let us not lose you to escapism.
Teach us to cope; to deal; to stand facing the storm.
Unless we can accept (not approve) reality in its warped and tainted distortions, we will not survive the season of our existence.

Both Jaye and Heathen summed it all extremely well. Painful but strong....

Finding peace in our own inner world when any reasoning of the external world seems dishonest at best and superficial at worst.First three lines very powerful that endless search for peace, acceptance expressed in the last line brings healing when declaring the realisation that sometimes survival is enough. Highly relatable.

Oh how lucky to have returned and find something
from you on the main page!! Wonderful writing!!
Painful, heart-wrenching emotion! You/'/ve
captured the essence in these lines how it feels
to be wretched and despondent. It/'/s incredible!
You have this innate ability to swathe the reader
in passion; never quite knowing if it is reality or not.

Well done, U_U!! ^_^ So happy to have visited tonight!

What a beautifully expressive description of anguish. Whenever i am in extreme pain, i try to remind myself that without pain, i would not know happiness. I have often thought that those with great sadness in their hearts also feel love more fiercly, love more loyaly, and have a deeper understanding of their emotions. For everything there is a purpose. I believe the purpose of anguish and sadness is so that we may better appreciate the happy moments in our lives. While i wish more than anything that the world was a better place, i believe that sometimes you have to revel in the chaos of life, and be the eye of the storm, or risk being carried away by it.
