You’ve heard it – I am sure.
Grown-up words- de jour.
To keep the naughty nice-
When folks were out of sight.
Doctor moms advice?
Dont pick it!
If a doorknobs caked with ice;
Dont lick it!
If your promise cant be kept;
Don’t make it
If its the last one left;
Dont take it.
If it makes your sister cry;
Dont do it;
If its on your plate to try;
Just chew it.
If its much too hot to touch;
Dont drink it!
If it makes the devil blush;
Dont think it!

Hmm this is a little bit on the silly side, though it/'/s what rings true. It/'/s kind of like common sense but the stuff that isn/'/t instinctive, so it/'/s better to learn ahead of time.
And there/'/s another smile! |

Haha, the wise words of parents. They really did come out with some classics sometimes.
One of the ones I always remember was
"Don/'/t come running to me when you break both your legs!!"
Thanks mum, I will bear that in mind
