hello there
I haven`t seen you in quite some time
how are you?
I`m sure everything has been just fine

I wanna tell you what you`ve done
but I don`t think you`d admit you were wrong
I wanna tell you where I`ve been
that all these circles lead back where you`ve gone

but honestly what`s the use?
I don`t even want your excuse
could we just jump straight to the part where we`ve all agreed to a truce?

never mind
not really sure what I was thinking
it`s nothing
endless waves but I am not sinking

I wanna show you what I`ve done
remind you I did it all on a whim
I wanna ask you where you`ve been
and why you never taught me how to swim

`cause I`ve been battling waves
and everything I forgave
might mean nothing at all if there`s still nothing at all here to save
`cause it`s just something I`ve lost
is this life worth what it`s cost?
when I think of you I just can`t help but feel so double-crossed

once again
wanting you is just grasping at straws
so for now
these words that I`ve written, I`ll withdraw

How accurately you have traced the thought process of one betrayed. The unbalance it creates and the back and forth attempts to find worth in its aftermath are so vividly portrayed here.
Your closing lines are filled with hope; for slowly we begin to look forward instead of back.
It is amazing how the world stands by awaiting us to return! You will find very little has changed..except you. You are the far wiser for the time you invest self healing--and we are far richer for shadowing your experience!
