Deep into an empty soul

Your eyes faded in the light of the moon
Had I ever seen such sorrow
You glanced over the horizon
As if a nothings land had taken your soul
For me it was as beautiful as ever
But you knew something else
“Take my hand”
To you I was air
A dark shadow of emptiness
A shell without a purpose
The moon went grey
And your eyes trembled
What a sight to see
I used to love the moon
Now it was to me as an unwanted child
You had me paralysed
Stock to this moment, hoping it wasn’t real
It wasn’t a nightmare nor a dream
I was living in a fantasy before
A shell of peace and light
But the darkness was too heavy to with strain
Such a powerful force
With a might of memories, flashbacks and evil sounds
You hadn’t moved
Still over the horizon my tears reflected the light of the moon
Over and over again
This time is was different
Like there was no meaning
Like and endless hopelessness
The peace from my breath had gone
Yours was ice cold
With your dark clothes on
Your hair floating in the wind
You seemed peaceful
But I knew there was nothing like that inside of you
Up on this hill life stood still
But beneath us they were going on
Like they always do
It was too late now
Too late to go back
I know too much this time
And you’d be gone when I leave you on the blue hill
I didn’t even appreciate the light anymore
A laugh in an empty space
Sounds scarier than a thousand screams
“Take my hand”
Again you ignored my clear need of saving
I needed you
But there you were, leaving
I guess I understand
There was nothing left for you here
Only pain
So I let you go
Freed you to something I don’t know
But darling I’m sorry
I wished I could’ve saved you
The universe is an endless infinity
And still it can end up being nothing
It expands as it disappears
I hope one day I’ll meet you again
And feel your happiness
