Nor for the fear that burns within.

Don/'/t remember the abominations that haunt the corner of my

Bedroom and bring terror to my eyes!

Nor the serpent coiled tightly squeezing my life breath.

Don/'/t remember me as the reason to cross the road, the mirror of
Your own fears.

Nor the mouth of butterflies as words elude me.

The constant antagonist of verbal impermeability.

Don/'/t remember the weakness of the prey, slowly and deliberately

Brought to its knees!

Remember me for my smile of resilience and my face of determination!

Remember me for the smile I gave you!

For the calm and solace as music soothed my brow and calmed my soul.

Don/'/t remember my unholy Union with Dementia in which I am not my own.

Nor when unkindness slammed the door!

Don/'/t remember the struggle but every step of courage.

Nor the difficult days by every brave breath I took.

For without choice I face the dawn!

We are seldom remembered as we see ourselves, but as others perceive us. It is not our choice.
It is your heart that I intend to remember, as you share your spirit in your writing .Standing out from others is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage to be memorable. !
Thank you for sharing your stories. Perhaps your gift is revealing yourself to your readers, that we may learn new ways of seeing others.
By your fearless spirit, you are, in poetry, a teacher.
