Fell in love with his voice;
A velvety baritone;
There on my cellphone!

Wed pay for inviting
Us all for a look;
To hear you reciting
A telephone book!

The microphone loves you;
And we all know why;
We’d line up for tickets;
To just hear you sigh.

With giggles and goosebumps;
Were all gathered round;
For a night of delight;
Were in love with your sound!

Obsessed you have guessed;
But losing is sweet;
Your voice is our test;
And we toast our defeat!

What a cool poem! Reminds me of Patrick Warburton, aka Jeff Bingham on /'/Rules of Engagement/'/.

As always, a pleasure to read your words...this one is super sweet!

Yes, a deep voice will do it every time. I like your poem because you/'/re so honest in admitting you like a deep voice.

i have to agree with Invierno..the first person that came to my mind was also Patrick Warburton. Another great piece and Im going to continue saying it...You have a way with words. :)

if you are coming out
to hear the baritone
Poet with a voice
smooth as glass
And the voice fills
in the night and carries
into the next day
some special promise
And you know it
well
you wear it
as though it was
stitched into your
soul
makes you feel
beautiful inside
people see strange
beauty you
could not imagine
what it was
that makes them
see this about
yourself
And that/'/s a grand
selfless thing you
hold
almost, ad hoc
like half a kidney
or a long lost
lymph node
that uncannily just
always did
work behind the scenes

Peace!
