Nature is so intriguing [bodytext] => Dusk draws the sky to darkest grey as the heavens mask the land
The music plays as forever, the tune that never fades
This time deep and soothing, the slowly drawn low violin
Not the rasping roar of torrid plundering storm

We are pawns to her billowing overture
Her siren sonata that crashes white onto the rocks
Captured by her allure, yet challenged by her monstrosity
Changing like the unexpected moods of petulant child

We erect flickering light beacons to warn of her unpredictability
Perch them on jagged rocks to sentinel savage seas
Yet they are slaves to whatever whim she chooses to inflict upon us
Be it tame gentle rollers or shore crunching bared teeth

Drifting to slumber we begin to parallel, entwine our lives in the pattern of night
Heavy breaths pull her form back across moonlit gullied sands
Together we rise and fall, restless pauses diminish in the long slow breath of sleep
And as she stills, flat calm, I am washed in dreams [comments] => 3 [counter] => 222 [topic] => 27 [informant] => puppy_dog_eyes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )
