Array ( [sid] => 184333 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Monsters [time] => 2017-07-19 15:27:02 [hometext] => Anxiety can be a rough disease to deal with. I absolutely hate it and try so hard not to let IT control me. [bodytext] => The darkness can surround me at night
and leave a body so lonely.
Screams
that are never heard.
Tears
that are never seen.
Memories loop through the diseased mind
like an old reel to reel.
Constantly
Relentlessly playing over
and over
and over again.
Nightmares while awake
liked being sucked into a black hole
a swirling vortex of madness.
There are no monsters worse
than the one that takes up residence
within my brain.

Knowing your demons diminishes their power. You will know you are winning when you can begin to make bitter jokes about their unwelcome existence.
Imaginings have not the endurance of flesh and blood that you possess. And as you point out, they cannot take you anywhere you do not intend to go.
Keep shining the light of day on them--they cannot match reality.

I do not know how to plan things out without
some anxiety, and man it sucks, it can actually
preoccupy my mind and rob my thoughts.
Today is alone, so was yesterday, as I gazed out into the future I try my best to unravel expectations, theirs and mine , create my own special time, for me it/'/s 5 am and then again at 10 pm each and every day no matter where I am, like a clockwork in truth we work all for free and peaceful like in the distance...
thanks for the great write deadheadpoet!
Peace!

I can appreciate what you are saying here, though in a slightly different way.
I/'/ve always been somewhat of a shy person, I/'/ve learned to adapt over the years but it never really goes away.
I sympathise with you wholeheartedly

Steve
