Poetry about insomnia. My favourite. Really well written. The rhyme scheme is excellent. Love this one

I am not sure this is about insomnia

when too many children want to sleep.
from the collective of the now in the plurals
the plurals of cliffs, the plurals of roaming
a collective of living now

not tomorrow, when tomorrow
seems gone

where does a young girl go
sleeping all the time

And not moving not twisting
away far from the day to think

when somehow there is never enough
time

the shadow of connection or maybe
the failure is it a failure not to try

something is different
children feel things more pronounced
than their counterparts,
the adults

I did once.
I think most my age did
too

nothing/s easy
people don/t say

depression
where you have to invent
a way out of something
of something that is real

It truly is hard
I think I remember that much.

anyway do the best you can
as you know you will never
give up

on any life

this poem very much
sticks with me, I see it
all around with children
these days

thank you allforyou!

Peace!

I love the rhythm you planned for this...and let me assure you, I was holding my breath until the alarm beeped! What excellent craftsmanship it takes to end with a huge collective sigh of relief!
Most entertaining!
