by the moonlight and all i can do is lie back
and enjoy the sound of her voice
i enjoy the time with no light
i could say that i love it
so much that i would succumb to it
and let it free me from this world
but the whisper to "hold on"
to beautiful things tears me away from this dream

she pulls me back
time and time again
how she tempts me like a wildflower on a summer morning
begging me to smell it

she's expecting answer to her questions
but i cannot speak her breath
i could fill oceans with words that'll never make any sense
i need clarity
and maybe this is why she is here

she looks in my eyes
and i find the answer was there all along [comments] => 2 [counter] => 189 [topic] => 25 [informant] => fallensilence [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )
