your beauty outshines the silence.
Once my place of personal confession,
the light now seeps through the cracks.
Forced through by emotions
that laid dormant for years,
wonderfully dormant,
safe,
isolated from rapturous thoughts.
Now invaded by sensual touches,
longing and a desire to return to things
that invoked such passions.
Music serenades the background
as light seeps through the curtains.
The sublime forces her into the forefront.
The light highlights the attempt at order
that lies in disarray in my bed.
At the side lies a hidden attempt,
hanging on the wall in pencil and paper.
Distractions that never served their purpose.
But thoughts do not linger here,
for they wonder what lies miles away.
We are betrayed by how we live,
we thought we were strong enough
to survive the silence.
But what we learned
was silence
required the cracks to nourish our hearts. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 99 [topic] => 30 [informant] => eggflipper [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => PoemsonBeauty )
