The mold was broke once it was cast
I find myself reaching for some sort of proof
Evidence that I even exist at all
For behind this mask of poetic intent
Lies but a simple woman
The broken mold glued together several times
Cracks showing their wear from reconstruction
This is where the madness of life has brought me
Seeking ever further into this life I've lead
I do find solace in who I am
The joys and laughter have far outweighed the hurt
But still within my slumber, I wonder

I like this a lot - as dark as it is - but I can obviously see where this came from. For whom the bell tolls s one question - Who is actually ringing it is quite another - me thinks.

This for me depicts the unrelenting strength of an ordinary woman who knows who she is and where she is going but still must face moments of weakness when time are harsher than usual. A very open and endearing piece that gets right to the heart of personal fortitude and perserverance.

Nice write...don't stop.

Excellent work. We all have trials and tribulations in life and sometimes in weaker moments we tend to let them pull us down. This is a strong emotional write that I can relate to. Even strong women are in weakened states at times. I try never to let anyone but myself make my bell toll for me.
