a dog howls at the moon
as clouds serenely flow across the sky,
in the castle made of sand
we are looking for the magic
as we seek to escape the life,
I am talking to someone
but I dont know who
or what for...
my minds in a daze
and
I slowly melt into the floor.

In a room full of pilgrims
I recognize the wreckage of a angel
who/'/s been corrupted
and can no longer fly,
a voice calls out to me
I get emotional
I sigh and I cry,
I feel like a iceberg on a tropical sea
soon to be a ripple in time.

Out of the blue
something deep drips into my mind
we are all just bags of water
talking apes
looking for something that can not be found,
with so many alternate realities
which ones are real I am not sure,
as I am trying to tell to someone
my lips move
but I cant make a sound...
I dont think
I like these drugs anymore.

thuds of dark cloud asunder
smoke is thick and the moon don/'/t shine
no longer
once I took a drug
no one would believe me
dead of night Midwestern winter
cold, sitting alone
overnight my hair turned gray
I rolled staying still
like I was my own physician
testing my own balance
imagining standing on only
one foot
The muddled vision
in your poem was in my brain
I found myself wishing to be found/
this must be the place "Talking Heads"
that song like your poem made me remember what it is like- you know

excellent write UU!!!

This poem rocks. It make me want to cannibalize it into my own. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the overall vibe of this piece. it/'/s dark and gloomy, but real, and raw. the first stanza is magical. very much enjoyed it!
