[hometext] => Despair has its own calms.~Bram Stroker
[bodytext] => as evening
folds over
itself
brushed in
alternating
shades of black
as memories tangle
in curtains
with a sob
against
pane/pain
hues of blue
as the dry
bite of January
morn/mourn
drifts as wood
smoke
pigment pale
in the dead
of winter
word sent.

This is so lovely, Ming. You have rippled my skin and set my hair to dance throughout. The capture is absolutely, hauntingly, brilliantly chosen to create a sparse display of a nuance I spend time in year round. I am proud to read you.

There are some lines that every poet reads and wish they wrote it. "As evening folds over itself" excellent |

Ants on a curtain ant music
Dnt tread on an ant you/'/ll end up black n blue
You cut off his head
Legs come looking for you
And ace of spades trumps queen of hearts
But I can/'/t stand the rain
Against my window
Pane or pain x |
