Each just a piece of time;
I’m free to point at yours and mock;
While you are faulting mine!

Should I persist to change your mind;
We close the door; the end.
Perhaps Ive won, or left behind;
What may have been a friend?

How interesting were not the same;
How splendid our divisions!
We both embrace eternal flames;
Defending strong positions!

Its not the truth we’re seeking;
Were showing who we are!
(We can’t hide while were speaking;
The minds door is ajar!)

We’re not alike; well never be;
So how else will we know?
Another way this world to see;
A different way to go?

Hold firmly your convictions!
And I will hold to mine!
Meld not fond contradictions;
To silence so benign! [comments] => 4 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 21 [informant] => softerware [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

This is a strong write, Ms Softerware!

I like this kind of message a lot. We can be divided by our differences, or we can draw comfort from our similarities.

The easiest thing is to point out someone else/'/s flaws, while ignoring our own.

Great job.

Standing on stage with a microphone while the audience pause to take it all in. That/'/s the image I see when I read this. Raw and powerful. Projecting a message that reaches the tip of the spine leaving goosebumps from what you just heard. Great job and a most enjoyable read.

words to live by
what is love /
silence / alone
who would you be/
how could I know
A treasure to fortify
beneath this sky
we wish to see
A place to be
loved

I really think/ mesmerized
by nothing more
than
a collection of
differing view
could open up
more / than
any dream

I feel divided into
a myriad of tiny little
fractured thought
with no place
that feels like home
if we don/t speak
enough with each
voice / that says
i am me and you
are you
hello, there
the voice when
it speaks/ listens
to itself
more with practice
patience and hopes
of understanding
love
Peace!
