a new day is dawning
last night she told me good bye
it came with out warning,
I look at the time
it passes so quickly....
she is out of my mind
I lost that emotion.

The transition seems smooth
false smiles are working
when people talk I see their lips move
never hearing what they are saying,
what is the meaning of words
when the truth is never spoken
I was given a line
"I love you for ever"
now I gotta survive
knowing I should have known better..

Reflections on life
and the cost of affection
has me staying awake all night
in silent depression,
living my life in reverse
can not stop thinking about her
hiding the hurt
but my severed head still remembers.

The stench of my failure
emanates from my wreckage
socially fading
I am not getting better,
visions of loves Illusion
lurk in the shadows of my mind
It is hard to break that connection
revolving doors spin me
life is not what I was expecting
and I am just trying to survive.

Dear Unknown,

So accurately penned!

I can feel the pain.
I can hear the emotion.
I/'/ve been where you are.
I can only say this:
Love yourself first.
Only your love for yourself will
Never fade nor forsake nor betray you...None other.

Strongs!

Love,
XxCCxX

Hello there

I second what CC is saying.
I/'/ve been there and it ain/'/t
nice, however if you keep
believing in love then love
will find you again. I know it
hurts but that will pass, be
strong,

Greetings
Rus

Really cool....reads like a song. I like it very much and the rhyme scheme, extended as it is, is a thing of beauty.

You continue to evolve as a writer. This is a good layered piece of work. Those first four lines set the tone for this poem in particular- and for life as a whole. Nothing is guaranteed, and life is unpredictable. Then you close this poem with the human race anthem- "I am just trying to survive".

Hear, hear!

Know what this feels like. If you can love yourself and enjoy your own company then find someone to love its all the better cause if for some reason they go it doesn/'/t hurt as bad, as long. Hope you get through in one piece friend
Great write

The next moment is always the most terrifying and exciting. Not knowing what lies ahead. The past has been written. You can reflect constantly but it/'/s frozen. Treading water sometimes is all we can hope for in that moment. There/'/s another one waiting. The one that could change everything. I enjoyed this

Love can be as cruel as schoolchild. Thoughtless, and disloyal to all but themselves.
The only way to win is to hold yourself worthy, absent of validation, assurances, or loving gazes.
First we deny; then we hurt; then we rage; and then magically, sarcasm sets in. We can make fun of our vulnerability.
Healing has begun. As you say - it is hard to break that connection--love is an addiction, and we are creatures of habit. Your words here already begin to untangle your thoughts. Write with a vengeance! softerware
