Trains, boring trains
Get on, no seats, it/'/s a pain
But add a little mystery
And some Agatha Christie
Trains, you/'/ll never see them in the same way again
Trains chugging along the track
Tree, tree, house, field, cow, horse, yak
On your way to Constantinople
To buy dates and opals
With your friends Marple and Poirot
Who knows how the journey may go?
I like to add a little Chemical Brothers techno beat
And each part of the landscape becomes part of the tune
Get out your i-pad and check the Star Guitar
Adding a little techno to your travelling
Makes a journey more inviting and less far

A great way to travel and to clear the head. And the Chemical Brothers definitely can enhance that experience. Exit Planet Dust. Great album. Nice job |

Trains are fascinating marvels of engineering.
How on earth could they ever be boring?
I would personally find a trip filled with techno beats extremely loooong and rather torturous!

Your words bring pictures of a train dining car, white linen, silver, crystal, and green blurs filling the curtained window. The animal howl of the whistle, the rock of the car, the musty scent of ancient velvet, the lingering pungent odor of cigar smoke, and the tinkle of crystal chandeliers overhead. Polished leather and stiff while collared servers bustling down the narrow aisles!
Tall feathered hats, white lace gloves and rustling crinolines revealing high buttoned shoes.
What an exceptional journey your poem has taken us on! You fire the imagination, much to our good fortune!

I remember a slogan they used to try and promote train travel a few years back
"Let the train take the strain"
Did seem rather apt. Gives your mind the opportunity to focus on other things.
I/'/ve often sat on trains wondering what everyone else is thinking.
