Raise yourself.
Something is amiss.
I stand aloof and agape.
Beat myself into the conscious stream.
From a primal sleep I see myself,
I see my Ego.
The /*****/-heel sees me.
He is out for blood and she came with him.
Betwixt the two of them I stand no chance.
I divide myself and deal with the ensuing bedlam,
The chaos of a battle waging without pity.
She fights dirty,
Like a wounded animal.
All I can do is hold on for dear life.
An ordeal of immense undertaking.
The victor is yet to be determined,
But my mortal wounds are showing now.
She knows,
She knows she has drawn blood,
She knows I am hurt,
But she is relentless.
She is leaving me with little choice.
I am far beyond reason and logic,
I must become a tyrant I feel.
Ruthless, violent,
But I will despise me for it,
And bring low my honor.
She is a riposte,
And I am stricken with fear.
The horror of my thoughts is a tomb.
And her actions are a telling hand. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 309 [topic] => 21 [informant] => deadreckoning1983 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Nicely done. Great phrasing to really set the tone. How wonderful to see you back, and posting again!
