that we could press, or turn, or twitch;
To pump it up; or make it lack;
Or shut if off, or bring it back;
Make it fast; or slow it down;

Change the color; or the sound;
Make it taller, wider, shorter;
Make it our way in short order;
Make it spin, or stretch, or pour;
Wonder what wed use it for?

Turn the sprinklers on a salesman?
Unlock cells and thwart the bailsman?
Inspire passion? Clean the sink?
Make us disappear, you think?

Would we put a sign on it:
so everyone could play with it?
(Or would we hide it well away
For fear of what the neighbors say)?

If we had a little switch;
that could scratch most any itch;
Wonder when we got the knack;
How fast wed want to switch things back?

Imagine if we all could do;
Everything we wanted to!
Wed need a global switch-off truce;
To curb excessive random use!

Then the police would come one day;
And take our little switch away!
Ending all our togging fun;
Alas, farewell, the tale is done!

This is such a well written poem. It/'/s so nice to read and the meaning behind it is really something to think about.

You/'/re really talented. Thank you for sharing.

Apollonia.

Nicely done Jaye :D

A quirky and skipping rhythm with joyful hops and clops and many stops! I wonder if you write such unqiuely easy-to-read
material, with such meaningful message, because of the nature of your teaching has helped to really utilize words we rarely consider helpful; because I see writes like this from you with everyday language, that couldn/'/t be held back, even if they were sleeping! It reminds me of a song I rather enjoy, in which there/'/s a sample at the beginning of the song:
//"And what they do is, they remind you of the beauty of simple things. You spend so much time, going from A to Z, that you forget that there/'/s 24 letters inbetween."//

I think you over-used your talent switch. You better turn it off because we are all looking bad.
Bravo once again.

James
