Careful what you sow today,
Careful what you say.

Wise words indeed, certainly a maxim to live by.
Kind of reminds me of the saying
"Be careful who you tread on on the way up, they may tread on you on the way down"

Your poem speaks of self discipline and consideration for others. This is a skill set, not a talent, and as you point out, we need to be aware that our words can be salve or sword.

We seem to fear silence, but without it, there is no wisdom.
If we could feel what our words mean to others, perhaps the world would be less chaotic, and people would listen when anyone spoke.
