I see my life flash past.
A distant memory
Nothing more.

As I look back on how things were,
I see myself merging into the walls
A blurry character
No real identity,
Desperately searching to find herself.
Its not real.
Its not real.

The Coldness hits me
Not of the day
But of nothingness.
The wide dark hole engulfs me
No means of escape
No will to escape
But a will to end all

I ask myself whether its worth all this.
Can I pull myself out of the hole?
I can see your face
My guiding star,
My inspiration.

You know how much you mean to me,
You are my world
My Life
You show me the way out.
Out of the abyss.
You are my Hope.

Without you, I may slip,
The fine line between the edge and infinity
Will always be near.
Death the easy way out,
But to live life on the edge,
Is truly a life lived
Not wasted.

this is great - heartfelt but not cheesy, i like the structure and the last lines are classic. use of capital letters is effective too. i'm glad you find someone so special :) great write, keep them coming, Kate x
