not even blink when i tell a fib
water my unicorn, go for a ride
not have any morals left inside
scream at others they are wrong
repeat my head mantras like a song

yeah I get your point - but Many more people in the world than just libs that fit the bill. Heck got stomped on pretty hard yesterday by someone who used to care - she invented many things to make herself feel better while stompin. People can just be mean and not care while justifying themselves. hugs

Glad you/'/re eyes are open.

sometimes is unusual
when it is mentioned only sometimes

I would not put the lib into a box like I would not address a conservative in a box

Sure, some would admit to a bit of what we call libertarian
in honest gesture, never fitting in just one box, they might say

Call me a vegetarian, but I would never push that on someone else having been around farming myself, hunting as a small boy as I did

Working as young man with a farm boy veterinarian
in the Midwest, liberal or the term never comes up
when I think about it, yet, in someways he was, and in someways he was not, I just respected the man.

I respected his honesty and his caring about all animals of any kind. He taught me a great deal you see.

I studied economics, but that doesn/'/t make me an expert on the subject. Economics, which I do love, anyone and everyone studies on their own, no matter
their plight, their background, it/'/s the fundamentals
of getting by, survival, in the best way that you can.

My dad left when I was small kid, looking back I never blamed him. He was two and half years a marine during WWII, and after he created a family with eight children, and a lot of pressure.

He was very smart, but worn thin. He went away, and he what one might suggest a conservative, with good business sense.

My mom a nurse, took over raised the kids on her own,
paid the bills, never, never ever, when I was a kid, did we have what economist call discretionary spending, money that one could choose how to spend it - every penny instead with paying off the mortgage in the tiny house where we lived, and feeding the kids.

Both parents were children of the depression, my mom likely liberal, my dad likely conservative, but neither discussing their views much, neither talking about politics in general ever - the subject it seemed almost taboo.

Of the eight kids, well, they are a mix, from one end of the spectrum to the other.

And we are all close and love each other, each would do anything for the other, this we all know.

From my background regarding some understanding of economics taught to me from college, to my work, which is in biotech, I do feel that certain economically speaking, that single payer healthcare, or medicare for all makes both economic sense, and would also mean better overall healthcare for all citizens --- but that is not liberal / it is just my policy view.

Preservation of the environment is not a liberal only view, in fact, may conservatives were the first to study this topic, and there are many conservatives that can be thanked for some of the good things that have been done to protect certain lands.

I worked for a virologist who was a professor of virology at the university of Wisconsin, he was a very bright man in his sixties when I worked under him and he thought man made climate change was indeed some kind of hoax / and was, I would say a devout conservative, certainly not a racist, and most certainly a man of good sound science to boot.

I disagree with his views on that topic, but, all the same, I respected him. He writes me letters often now that he is in his eighties. He is good man, no question about that.

Anyway, I tried hot yoga, put my back out bad trying to do all those stretches. I ride my bike to work when I can, but lately I don/'/t have the time.

I voted for Sanders, not because he was way outside Washington do nothing views, but because, in my opinion, he is right policy wise.

Wall Street is a mad house, and the trading that goes on is unproductive to the multitudes - a lot of it does not create jobs, it/'/s only waste. Creating a tax for each trading transaction would create billions each year which if channeled rightly would make a whole host of sense - but that is in someways an imaginary
argument, since something like that would take a large movement by the US congress, and whose gonna hold their breath on something like that???

See, I am an idealist more than a liberal. Lot of conservatives are smart and correct regarding a lot of things, this I know.

I don/'/t people in a box. That would be to me, mad.

But I do not like Trump / seen him in action over many years. I think he is playing with fire, and really doesn/'/t even want to be president. Instead I feel that he just suffers from a big huge heaping helping of megalomania.

I find that sad, not just because he would let folks down, but also because, he just doesn/'/t care, nor never has.

The NRA was once a really good organization by the way, then it only because an agent for the gun manufacturers whose only care is selling more guns each year.

Well there you have it. Why did I take the time writing this reply, does it matter?

What is my real point?

My point is I like your writing and I respect you from reading it.

Please don/'/t put all liberals and idealist into a box/ it/'/s not fair.

Also, if I wrote something that someone disagreed with, they should say. They should inform me.

But they shouldn/'/t shout in my ear calling me lazy person or someone who doesn/'/t think or someone who thinks of the world and all the people in it as black or white/ on or off. Because nobody is.

I had fun writing this btw. And truly do like all your poems and the way they flow. They are cool!

Peace!
