But you thought you did
I’m a grown woman
Not an innocent kid
I wish that I were
Ah, to live in the past
Sickness is killing me
It’s not such a blast
You don’t like me
Oh well, I’ve heard that before
Just make sure your ass
Doesn’t get hit by the door

I know how you feel my Step daughter hates me she thinks I'm the one who took her daddy away from her mom! Its so tough to try to be someone loving to someone with so much anger! Christina

I had to post on this poem- First off, it's pretty well written- secondly, it seems like you are being childish, an authority figure should never say things like that (not that you actually said it) to a child or teen (referring to the "don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya"-esque comment). This is coming from some one whos parents are divorced- except neither got remarried- but i do hear the *****ing of my friends about their step parents, who often fill the need to act as mom/dad....but they need to stop that nonsense because it only makes your stepchildren angry.
