You have to tell them so;
You’re the mirror of their worth
They look to you to know.

There is no magic formula;
They are what you believe;
Give them hope and they will cope;
Tho Hell should grab their sleeve.

He’ll stand and fight to prove you right;
He’ll try to win it all;
To hear you say although he fails;
He never stood so tall.

You are his identity;
The teller of his tales;
The author of his chivalry;
The wind upon his sails.

He needs someone to need him;
And you someone to care;
There never was a hero;
Without a lady fair!

Every woman ever loved
has gifted man her fates;
And all she did was understand;
the love he kept in wait.

Wonderful poem Jaye...
But you are old school. Most women unfortunately no longer subscribe to that kind of thinking. Who has the time when we need to show the world another useless selfie from yet another angle?

Men don/'/t care much either to do the little things that make women happy. It/'/s a me-me world.

Your poems are always unique and educational. That/'/s why I like to watch old movies. Men and women knew how to act and what real romance was all about.

Bravo

James

I take James/'/s point, but I/'/m old school too, and I understand the formula so well. Without a fair lady, a lot of men would be standing on very unstable foundations.Women have an understanding of men that is not fully reciprocated. Usual style and wisdom, of course.

James is correct, though with poems like your, it will touch people and remind them of the correct path of happiness.

As always, content spot on, and style, flow, etc is sheer perfection.

You should have worked for Hallmark. You would have been their star.

I LOVE the poem and endorse it 100%.

Mike
