I cling to a feeling I cannot describe.

It/'/s a sense really - an all-knowing.
A mystery I cannot catch a glimpse of - but I know it/'/s there.

Adventures won, adventures lost. Those waiting . . .

An anxious distress . . . because while my heart hungers, it feeds me from a well that I must betray.
A sadness overcomes me and I dream a different dream - one where I do no wander or want, but my spirit is peaceful and delights in the familiar.

But, that familiar place is one of danger. As long as I continue to make space in my heart for the unknown and unintended - I need not feel the pangs of growth, loneliness, or loss.

But, it lingers . . . Hugging that line.

Chasing my subconscious and hijacking my dreams.

That little sickness in the pit of my stomach . . .

Can I satisfy those wanting souls?

But I smile. It has all been so good. I am blessed. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Odessa19 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Chasing my subconscious and hijacking my dreams!
What a powerful description of the push pull we feel to chose between staying as we are, or growing!

Your words are true; accommodating the unexpected and the unknown is so much a part of our humanity, that without it, the pain of living would be unbearable.
You have shared the keys to survival.

Your conclusion is warm, but you know as well as me that life is cold. Yes, it has sunny days, but, no-one can ever shake off that chill. No one is truly blessed. Just lucky. Sorry to seem so pessimistic, but all the beautiful feathers in the world cannot mask a crow.

why read, people or books, why think,
what is thought, what is greed, or what,
is empathy, or hope.

this sincerity is absolutely needed and
concretely character building

in its absorbingly and disarmingly
beautifully written tone.

Thank you, as it made me think of a some really
important people who have made my life
worth living something to be thinking about!

Peace!
