It was poison. My own blood coursing through my veins.
Slowly killing me - an internal rot. Circulating through my mind, body, and soul.

Worthless and evil.

How I felt and what they said to me.

Now to freeze your heart.
Stop your foolish mouth from speaking.
Quiet your ears and erase your thoughts.

You belong to me. I made you.
How dare you speak against me.
I will steal your speech with deafening quiet.

**************************************************

I wait patiently. Just outside your door.
I tap lightly and slip a note of surrender.
But, no. My lesson isn/'/t learned.

"You/'/re in the cold and you shall not forget it."
Sit and wait.
"When I am ready, I might let you back in."

********People walking by********

"What are you doing in the cold?"
"Come with me, away from that dark door."
"There is no one home and no one coming."

Safety and warmth.
Love and affection.

No wandering the barren forest.

I/'/m friendly with my neighbors and they take kindly unto me.
After all,I am no stranger...

It/'/s silly really. And deeply sad.

To live so starkly...

**************************************************

Time will pass and the door will open.
Or an invitation from within the dwelling
beheld by the favored and somewhat meek.

It/'/s cold outside ......... they know.

**************************************************

Steady on. Built strong.
My company holding my head high and my heart full.

Until the shutters open.....

**************************************************

"I see you out there. Joyful. Come in and let me share in your delight."
"Let me sink my teeth into your legs."
"For whatever keeps you tall keeps me from having it all."

**************************************************

Heartbreaking. In the grips of calamity.

Yet, that forbidden place where my heart longs to belong.

The closer to the sun .... well you know ....
