One foot, two foot
three foot, four
Walk for a mile
then walk some more
Five foot, six foot,
seven foot, eight
Walk to the hills,
and over to the lake
Nine foot, ten foot
eleven, twelve
Walk for five miles
the deeper you/'/ll delve
In my shoes you/'/ll go far
worn soles can/'/t keep me down,
I don/'/t even have shoelaces
but, I still don/'/t frown.
Thirteen, fourteen
fifteen, sixteen
How many more
to make me free?
Walking this many miles
can make you sore,
Makes you feel like
you couldn/'/t possibly walk anymore.

Interesting with an admittedly pungent sense of sadness, though it could just be a sense of realization of stress and the like. However I do like how you took the "walking in one/'/s shoes" to a whole /'/nother level. :) |

It seems like you could walk forever.
Never a bad thing I suppose, a kind of therapy that never costs and always works.
I/'/m kind of the same when I go for a run. Always gives me time to think......more so as I get older, mainly because I get slower!!
