How was your day?

"It/'/s not what you look at that matters, it/'/s what you see."
-Henry David Thoreau
Rhythmic sound permeates
My instruments and home
Fantastical movies playing
Accompanying the mood
Toiling, for future toils
Joined them, down by the rod
Flying plastic planes to plastic ports
Letters and numbers for score
(Twice I succeed
But how many more?)
Holding my pet rat,
I make for coded war
(I had triumphed
Bested all the rest)
Loving of natural children
Who taste my hands and skin
With my windows closed
And lights down low
I pictured life within stillness
And was consumed by warm joy
Overall, how was my day?
I wouldn/'/t have it, any other way.
