You and I are strangers who are searching to see in another, a bit of ourselves.

Friendship must be invited. The heart must be lit; the door ajar.
Perhaps I am loved because I am a willing vessel for your heartfelt concerns;
A blank canvas for the colors of your self image. To befriend you, I am
willing to wait and listen, and you struggle to reveal yourself as we look for common ground.

The reward is permission to find yourself worthy of love and trust.
Armed with the common experiences shared before we met, we begin a bridge between us.

Our paths align just long enough to sustain a sense of connection. And with that
foundation securely in our grasp, we are able to linger to explore our differences.

In time we will see the good and bad of us, and if we stay beyond the ugliness, as if it didnt matter, we may call ourselves friends. At last, an honest look at friendship. How it begins and if valid, how it/'/s destined to survive. I like your profound words and the meaning within your write. Very, very nice write. P

What a surprising write here.
It/'/s like looking at a Rubik/'/s cube, that is in actuality an inside-out kaleidoscope; thanks to a combination of metaphor of a sense of abstract with a clear and obvious painting of soul.

It makes me think of painting with our life or soul itself. We would feel so proud to see such an act of expression were we to literally do such a thing, as opposed to the figurative sense; and we see our soul as such a simplistic means of reading- much like a spectrum of light or mood ring. With another/'/s however, it/'/s like a model of DNA, intricate and refined, yet there/'/s some sort of color and rhyme and reason to it, that we just might be able to see, but not always feel. Perhaps what makes us all so interesting as social of animals is that the fact that we/'/re alike, but different, and yet again alike by being different. So strange am I right?

".....as if it didn/'/t matter, we may call ourselves friends."

Or married for life.

I love this, SW. It/'/s a divergence from your most excellent zone of comfort, and I/'/m pleased and proud for your exploration.

I have to say, it/'/s due. Your particular style is very distinctive; your wit, brilliant word-smithing and always present positive message is as perfect as it can get- Did Michelangelo look for another ceiling? Rumor has it he did more than dabble in paint.

Mixing it up can invite doubt. I this kind of fear- it can be fun. Our efforts are ours....for us. We play. It/'/s just words arranged...a pile of words we poke around through and slap on the fridge until we like it enough to leave it be.

I See You,

Mike
