And free me from the chains
Unlock me
Time for me to begin again
Unlock me
I have served my time
Unlock me
The apprentiship has ended, time to draw a new line
Unlock me
I know now what to do
Unlock me
It will be the same me doing something new
Unlock me
Let me realize my true self
Unlock me
Sick of collecting dust up on the shelf
Unlock me
I will not disappoint
Unlock me

Hey, nice. I like the mention of the dust on the shelf. :)

Also made me think of my poem "Mental Shelves" and softerware/'/s comment that she left.

"...sitting on a shelf is a product of our own choosing. Shelves are to rest, gather your thoughts, wits, and move on.
But like the nest, sometimes we have to be pushed!"

I also, have to say, the idea of being "unlocked" is cool. It/'/s a nifty way to look at the whole idea of being "prisoner" to ruts and routines. Don/'/t I relate to that.

If I had a beer, I/'/d cheers you and say "Here/'/s to taking the key in our own hand, and unlocking those dang gates that hold us back!"

I`m so ready to be able to go out and do this on my own now.....least that`s what it meant to me. Very nice.

Thank you,

Tim
