Sitting here
Restless and tired
I/'/m thinking of you
With your picture in my hand
I feel as if you/'/re by my side
Sending a message that isn/'/t clear
Is it hello or goodbye
Maybe I shouldn/'/t cry
I found comfort in just knowing you
Although I always feared
You/'/d grow old and die
Leaving me behind
Not understanding why
Now that you/'/re gone
I feel so sad inside
All I have are the memories
I fear they too will subside
Leaving me with only the pictures
To reminisce

Sitting here
Restless and tired
I/'/m thinking of you
With your picture in my hand
I feel as if you/'/re by my side
Sending a message that isn/'/t clear
Is it hello or goodbye
Maybe I shouldn/'/t cry
I found comfort in just knowing you

This certainly is a tear jerker. The memories, however, are one of the ways they live on and reminiscing is one of the ways you can turn it into a happy moment.

P.S. I like they way you relate the pics to memories. Photos certainly can catch that // moment in time// and bring back the ol memories.

Very nicely penned,
This is a sad poem and it hits the
heart remembering when people fall apart
or we lose a loved one.
