[title] => The Darkness Behind Me
[time] => 2016-01-15 05:58:08
[hometext] => By: E. Wayne Searles
[bodytext] => A dark shadow cast from behind the presence of me It’s nothing more than a dreary past of nothing more that I want to see The birds flock around me to fill a hunger they patiently wait They come from the shadows searching for food from my undevoured fate The land looks so baron a desolate place to live The future looks so bright what’s behind me, to nobody I would give As I walk the ground turns to dust I keep moving ahead of the shadows or I will fulfill the bird’s wildest lust If the darkness should prevail and my presence swallowed by the dark I will leave my scriptures for all to see it will be my final mark If the winds of change should cover what is written for all to see Then memories of me were just not meant to be But the darkness will not prevail I shall not be swept away The birds will die of hunger and I will live another day Written: 15 January 2016 Copyright © 2016 E.
