Slipping from the fingers of death
I once again grasp a fresh breath of air
Some of my choices in life are chaotic
I make it like this with no despair

Always feeling like a goner
at times it’s even hard to catch my breath
Feeling so closed in
I only focus and worry about my death

Such depression is alive
a feeling of denial with much grief
Always watching and waiting for the reaper
to come take me away like a thief

Immortal souls swim
in a world beyond what we call reality
They often reach out and touch us
trying to show us what they see

My energy is diminished
by the touching of souls from the other side
This can be very depressing
makes me want to run and hide

I may often break free
from the grasp that reaches through deaths door
I try to break from this depression
searching for my energy to restore

This life is but once
please let me live it well
I do not wish to go with you
my soul I do not wish to sell
