Plus or Minus
------------------
wrapped your past in plastic
for that picture-perfect pain
was as pure as mathematics
instant gratify sustain
fresh like flesh but twice as wet
as dust falls from your eyes
ain//'//t learned a thing, can//'//t seem to bring
a grain of simplify
systematic liquefy
injected claw and tooth
psychosomatic testify
the unbelieve-ed truth
wrapped your fate in butterfly wings
but only in your mind
flesh eats flesh and bone eats soul
watching the world watch you die

great, I read it a couple times before reading it out loud.
It/'/s great phrasing and evocative as well.
The brain and all the body parts are funny things, but not really, we all should know.
Well done!
Peace! |

This is very like spinning and seeing the world in flashes. A glimpse of this, a shard of that! Disconnected images and fragments of thoughts that travel a path that melts behind you. You cannot go back.
We are all dying, but we call it living (the glass is half full!). Like fruit fallen from the tree..we no longer ripen. We decay ever so slowly.
You seem to have stopped the process to look at it standing still before you, and took us to look with you! Your images have stopped time. How magical.
