with cinder blocks underneath
It was not my home,
for that I still seek.
Mold trailing along the floor,
underneath the tile
Smelled like wet dog...
my mom and I,
only stayed for awhile
Sleepless nights
are hard to forget
When they hold
most of your regrets.
My watermelon jumpsuit,
favorite thing of mine
Wore it to shreds,
wished it could've withstood time
The great flood
washed away most of my things,
Took away my jumpsuit,
but not my wings.
My wings helped me fly,
fly to a better place
A place where I was loved,
and not disgraced.
While mom got worse,
my wings gave me warmth
Gave me substance
so I could go forth.
I could go through life
even at age six,
While finding it hard
and grasping at sticks
One day though
I was left alone,
and I went to a place
I could not yet go

I went home. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 220 [topic] => 48 [informant] => FireStarter [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

This is really good. I like the picture painted. "Mold trailing along the floor,
underneath the tile
Smelled like wet dog..."

"My watermelon jumpsuit,
favorite thing of mine
Wore it to shreds,"

I'm glad things are better for you.

Invierno
