“I touched down”-
this keep repeating in me
like a cymbal that won't quit;
tympani soft on my mind,
this repeating bit.
What it means, unclear to me;
“I touched down”,
I long to see.
My brain invents meanings
to satisfy my soul;
my soul invents meanings
to appease my cranial bowl.
And which is right?
Mayhap both wrong?
Perhaps a poem is not the venue sought,
but expressed better in a song.

I hope, a happy song. It reads that way to me. Or am I just a wishful thinker?

'My brain invents meanings
to satisfy my soul;
my soul invents meanings
to appease my cranial bowl.'

I'd like to say that I'm in your head with these words, but that is arrogant. Let's say that you have invaded mine.

I second Ming's comment.
I often think there is an unusual being
in an unconscious thought process
A more clever being, a special thinker, wishing to to take the conscious mind deeper
And take in all that is in the present.
It begs, faintly, it is a dull, as you mention,
cymbal like a wave, dissipating further out to the ends of the cranial bowl and beyond
before it chimes in once again.
It's different than memory, different than
cognition, it goes beyond and knows not
of any age. It was there before, long ago
And remains.

Your poetry is getting very impressive Invierno!

Peace!
