I know who's there.
You aren't invited yet still you stare-
I peek at you through bubble glass,

pray you move beyond my door-

I know who's there.

I have been told with good authority many times that the malfunctions of this aging body are going to kill me. Absurdly, I am still standing, having found it is best to live with impunity.
It is cruel enough to live our lives knowing one day we will end without our consent; it is a futile temptation to dwell on the sound of it ticking.

Write of beating your fear as you do so well with poking at it. ;) Write all thoughts of it till your fingers bleed. :P Our ink has the power we give it...imho.
