One day, a falcon feather
fell like an anvil on my head
of water;
the splash dripped and bathed my soul,
and,
now,
fully realizing the weight and might of nature
on my insubstantial self,
my head grew bone;
my fingers,
new feeling on once deadened flesh,
and the life-clock reset
to my natural weight and density,
wholesome now in this mantled cloak
of new identity;
light, yet free of falter;
this feather commanding me (unknowingly)
to wake from slumber those (as I before)
with heads of water. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 135 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Interesting. I hope any case in which something falls on one's head the end result is nothing like an old Looney Toons cartoon. lol

I like this, as it has a peaceful almost tranquil water-essence flow to it. Almost as if the forming of the bone and new flesh are in fact happening along the same lines as a ripple in water. I am left wondering just what this comes to as a metaphor, or as a message. What would be this feather?

(Not to mention the fact that the brain in the head of water being the source of power, and the mention of resetting makes me think of turning off or restarting ones computer; which a brain effectively is.)

I found this a bit ambiguous. That means nothing bad because quite in fact, I really liked reading it. I found myself thinking of reincarnation.

Niiiiiiice.

Wisdom comes in all forms and your poem presents it in Newtonian fashion. This gives me a wide variety of ways to view this poem. In all you have portrayed things well
