Every syllable is prancing;
To a beat where matching lines;
Try to count the same each time!
When I stomp words with my feet
The rhythm pretty much repeats.
--------------------------------------------

Tak-ing meds that make me loo-py; (8 beats)
Washed down with dry toast and sou-py. (8 beats)
Dis-hes, laun-dry, have to wait; (7)
I’m set on “pro-cras-tin-ate”. (7)

---------------------------------------------------
As for finding words that rhyme;
Write the alphabet one time.
Add each letter to your word
Until a rhyming sound is heard!

Smart is Bart, or Cart, or Dart;
Fart, Heart, Apart, or Tart!

Bigger words such as nutritious;
Turn to d-ishes, w-ishes, mrs.

Words make music you can dance to;
(If you chose to take a chance to)!

Count them out with hands or feet;
The sing-song rhythm’s in that beat.

If the music doesn’t flow;
There’ll always be haiku, you know!

Not just kids. I found myself making up rhymes as I read along.

For example: Bigger words such as nutritious;
Turn to d-ishes, w-ishes, mrs

or superstitious.

Thank you,

Sir Timotheus

You are better at it than I. I use resonance and consonance in most of my poetry. Almost perfect but not. You are amazing.

This makes me smile, as you aptly summed up how my mind often works. I'm certain life would be more enjoyable if we all communicated in rhyme. One of my proudest parent moments to date is when my child started recognizing rhymes, and creating his own. He sees the rhythm in everything, and no pattern escapes him. It is so truly awesome to experience with him. Anyway, I'll shut up now...But this poem made me think of some treasured moments, and that is the beauty of poetry!

Thank you.

~Scorp
